NROTC MO 2nd Board

Has anyone heard back from the February board/has any idea when or if they met? My OSO seems to have fallen off the face of the Earth. He had previously told me I would have been notified by the end of February, but all my portal says is that my application is at Marine Corps District for Board Selection.

My OSO is from the Pittsburgh office if that means anything.

Historically, unless you hear directly from your OSO or RS, notifications may not be available until April. The portal is typically slow to update regardless of the outcome.

Having said that, it appears that each district notifies differently. Some call or email as soon as the results are available.

Try sending your OSO or RS an email. In our district the XO of the RS coordinates officer procurement activities, so you may try that person if your OSO doesn't respond.

From my experience of pursuing the scholarship and eventually earning one, calling your XO was always the best most direct way to find anything out. As long as you're not calling him every 10 minutes he'll appreciate your interest and attentiveness. Bottom line: give your XO a call, since the online portal is unreliable at best.
