NROTC Second Board

So I learned yesterday that my package did not arrive for consideration to the first NROTC board. It was pretty disappointing to hear that from my recruiter so late especially because I finished my entire application a week and before the October board.

In any case, I was wondering when the second board will convene and for how many days? Also, when will results from the second board come out?

All is not lost. Yes it is good to get it in on the front end to be seen; however, the mass of awarded scholarships will not happen for a while.

Any idea when the results from this board will posted? The Army took a few weeks...not sure what to expect with the Navy?

Generally results come out within two weeks of the conclusion of the board. Oftentimes it's between the Wednesday and the Friday of the second week after the board finishes. It varies though, especially around holidays.

Will there be another board in December? I can't find a schedule for the Boards posted anywhere...

NROTC does not generally make its board schedule known. The will typically be at least one a month.

I think it's Dec 11-15....my DD's NROTC coordinator sent us an email. So take it with a grain of salt, as I am only repeating, I do not have first hand knowledge. Good luck to all!

The next scheduled board is 11-15 DEC, the last of 2017. There are 6 scheduled for 2018, but they don't always use all of them.

Marine are separate. They have one fall and one spring board, conducted by region. The fall boards are already done.
