NROTC Stipend question

Since my NROTC scholarship pays room & board(thanks to University of Rochester) I want to start putting away all of the money that I bring in for investment and what not. As far as I know my stipend for NROTC will be $250-$400/month, increasing $50 a year. I would like to star setting up a financial plan... so does this stipend pay during months that classes are not in session(Summer, winter break)? Thanks to anyone who can provide insight!
 
It does not pay when classes are not in session.
 
No stipend during the months class is not in session, but you receive pay for any summer training sessions. DS only got to do CORTRAMID due to an internship then COVID, but I believe he took home $800 or some for that 4 week period.
