So the time has finally come, I had my requests for remedials and it looks like I’m going to get DQd for psoriasis. So my question is what is the time frame of this cause I gotta commit to a school by May 1st. Also has anyone ever got psoriasis waved for NROTC? I had it for a month period when I was 13 and it’s never comeback. I would not of even remembered I had it if it wasn’t for my mom. And my final question is what can I do to explain my case on my waiver? Do I get to write a letter? What can I do to make the best waiver package possible? Can I get letters of recommendation from the dermatologist that treated me? Thanks.

A mere request for a remedial is not a DQ. Until you hear back from them you do not know.

As far as how long you wait to "commit" to plan B, make sure you do it well prior to May 1. If your desired college changes in time to pursue an NROTC scholarship you can still do so. You may be out some money but there are worse things that happen in life. If possible the plan A and plan B college would be the same, but that is not always financially do-able.
