Official 2016 AFROTC POC Selection Process Thread

I think the Det/CCs have done most of the cutting. I'd be interested to see the numbers and averages, but it seems like they're on the binge part of the cycle. The waivers getting pushed through was a big indicator. Just hope the posture stays.

No way they're taking more people to make cuts at FT, that's not economical and they could end up over manned if not enough wash out or undermanned if way too many do wash out.

Got picked up! God it feels good.

100% with a med DQ prior to results posting. 8/8 cadets going.

Can't wait to work with you all. Ill post my Max as soon as word comes down. Again, congrats guys.

Yea it does cost a lot of money to fly a cadet, across country in many instances, just to probably fail at FT, if they were planning to use FT to wash out bad cadets. Not to mention cost to train, and the fact that the AF could save money by only having 5 Maxes.

15 FTPs at my Det including 4 250s, all got selected. All rated applicants accepted into rated slots as well, 100%. Congrats everyone!

Sorry I'm new, are you all AFROTC and just got appointments to the academy or graduated and now officers in AF?

These great people are AF ROTC cadets, and we're just selected for an enrollment allocation and thus will be heading to summer field training. Without the EA they likely would have had to leave ROTC and not be able to commission through this path.

We had two med DQ's, one at the original convene date, and one a couple of days before these boards posted. So technically we were 8/10.

Our Det was 22/22, after a cruel April Fools joke by the Lt. Col. He mentioned that the Maxes will be decided this week...can anyone shed some light on when/ how they decide who goes when? I know a bunch of us are curious and our cadre is almost all new this year so they aren't quite sure either it seems. Any info is appreciated!! Congrats to all

My det just requested preferences from cadets about school/family obligations and conflicts for the summer. Their guess is a 2-3 week turnaround for HQ to process it all and have them back so the Max 1 cadets can be good to go.

DS heard the statistic of AFROTC expecting 2,500 nominations to accept 2,300 for enrollment allocations but only receiving 2,100 nominations for a 100% selection rate.
