Hi all,
Just received my appointment to the academy! Time to start this thread!

It would seem that your DS and I were at the same interview and received USAFA nominations. Congratulations! Go TX-23! :thumb:

EDIT: Hang on, was it a Senator or a Representative?

He canceled his interview with the Congressman because he had already received the nomination from his Senator and Texas does not duplicate nominations. Good luck to you!

I see. I received one from Congressman Gallego (and drove 400 miles for it, hah), and I am now playing the waiting game. Thank you, and congratulations again! I hope to be representing TX-23 with your DS this summer. :biggrin:

Enjoy the rest of your school year. I remember when DS was in your position. But time goes by quickly. He was just selected to be a BCT Cadre for you all.

For those many, many candidates still waiting. Enjoy the rest of your school year. I remember when DS was in your position. But time goes by quickly. DS didn't hear until May 1. Checking your Portal every hour won't help. Try to go do something else.

All I can say is that Basic comes along a lot quicker than you think it will. Enjoy the rest of your senior year and make sure to stay in shape! :thumb:

For those of you whose online portal already changed saying appointment offered, did you get an email when this was updated or not?
 
Yes. I got an email that said my status was changed to appointment and I received a letter in the mail a few days later.

DD also got the email. A copy of the letter arrived a couple of days ago via snail mail. No BFE, yet.
