Official NASS Acceptance & Discussion Thread

I thought that it would be nice for all NASS applicants to discuss anything that pertains to Summer Seminar in one place--which is why I created this thread. We can discuss events that will take place, have an official list of acceptances, and discuss physical preparation.

I just wanted to ask if acceptances are sent out in the mail or via email? Any info would be great.

I believe the Naval Academy let the applicants know through email last year, so I assume they're doing it through email this year, too.

My DS received his acceptance letter in 2011 via regular mail 3 weeks after he applied. Of course, this does not mean that he didn't recieve an email before then - despite my admonitions, he has been known to let emails go by unnoticed before!
 
I'm just excited to get the letter--whether it be a denial letter or an acceptance letter (although I'd rather it be an acceptance letter!) Once I receive some sort of confirmation, I will know what I need to improve!

For people who are on Facebook more than they are on here.. there's a Naval Academy Summer Seminar 2012 group on fb for discussion and questions and really anything involving NASS 2012
 
My heart skipped a beat! I thought someone already had been accepted! I was like wow thats awesome! Haha!
 
I attended NASS session 3 last summer and absolutely loved it. I went into it not knowing whether I would like it or not, and it ended up making USNA my first and only choice! It is such a great week and everything is very fun and exciting.

Congrats to any who get accepted, it was well worth it!
 
I do have a question, though, pertaining to the summer seminar application process here. Is it similar to the Air Force Academy's? Rolling admissions, no defined acceptance date, etc.?

Yes, it's on a rolling basis like USAFA.
 
I got my acceptance last year via regular mail. Good luck to everyone waiting.
