Looks like the acceptances are leaking out!!! It looks like we are up to 70. :groupwave::groupwave:

presidential nominations

Where are the presidential nominations, only one on the list, do they save them for last?

I know 1 enlisted who got a presidential nom, they are either nit picking through the appointments, or have already gone out, can't base a small amount of people who use this site as a sort of graph to determine appointments :\

Interesting chain reaction--also Senator Johnson and Senator Kohl at USMA (2nd choice). So congratulations on USAFA!!! (Sincerely) But hope you get USNA and free up that slot at USAFA.

Thank you I hope I do too. I hope I can free up the spot if it comes down to it because I know what anyone would give up for an appointment. Nothing against West Point but Army isn't my first choice.

Only about 10% of all applicants participate in this forum. (Class of 2016 had 109, 2015 had 120). So 70 acceptances posted here means that there are closer to 700 actual candidates accepted. I'm starting to get a little nervous that I haven't heard anything.

You don't know for sure which nomination source is charged. Even if you only have a Presidential nom, you may be selected from the national pool and not charged against the Presidential noms.

I was kind of thinking and feeling the same thing. One hope is I don't see Nebraska on the list yet though.

i'm right there with ya! except there are a handful from CA i see but this isn't the time to start doubting our chances ! :thumb:

Congrats rztl! Good for you!

Now we hope to hear from Franken's office or it's the NWL for DS. He was awarded a 4 Year Type 2 AFROTC scholarship today, which we were not expecting as a non-tech major. So a solid Plan B is in place - a full ride at University of St. Thomas, including room and board.

Still praying for the BFE and hoping he'll join you in June. Congrats again!

Hey all. I've been watching this thread for a while. Finally decided to make an account. I hope to be hearing from the Academy soon! I just received written confirmation from my senator on my nomination from him today, making it my third. I got so excited because I saw the envelope and I thought it was an acceptance. But nonetheless, I was still overjoyed. Hope to be a part of the USAFA family!

Have any of the appointees seen a change on their portals or received a BFE in the mail? The senator who gave me a nomination retired and the new senator does not have any info on nominees.
