He declined the USMA offer of appointment today. It was interesting to watch this. They literally had 3 or 4 "are you sure" checkpoints before it came to the final one. When DS was about to click on the final decline appointment button he paused and said something like "this is the biggest decision I have ever made" then he clicked it. He also thanked USMA in the comment box and stated that his passion to be in or around aviation was pointing him to USAFA or USNA. I agree with him that this was the biggest decision of his 17 years and 10 months of life thus far. I see a maturation in him already, but he has one more, bigger decision to make.
