I received a letter today informing me that I need to take a Physical Aptitude Test, there was no deadline for when it was due. I'm just wondering how the PAE is different than the CFA?

Also, I have already taken my CFA twice. My second scores were improvement from my first scores. I'm just still struggling to do a pull up. I can do a pull up with my hands the other way, just not the correct way for the test.

You're a female I hope. Try to get at least one pullup the correct way, it's better than any flexed arm hang time. Try doing negatives, or assisted to train.

Did you get this letter from the Air Force or from the navy. The "Physical Aptitude Test" is basically another word for the CFA (Candidate Fitness Assessment). I suggest you CALL your academy counselor and ask her/him the exact details. Remember: ANYTHING you receive in the mail, you will get an answer that is MUCH MORE ACCURATE, if you simply call your academy admissions counselor, than asking here. Not that we don't know many of the answers; just that they sent you the letter. Therefor, they will know better what they are wanting from you.

McCoy: I am a female. And I'm working on it. Luckily, I don't have a date to send it in by so I won't send in my scores until I have them as good as I can get.

Christcorp: I did get this letter from the Air Force. I also called my counselor but he hasn't called me back. I talked to my ALO and he said that it was probably a good thing, but was confused about the wording of the letter (it referred to "enclosed" items that didn't come with the letter). I was just hoping to get some piece of mind from anyone here that could help.
