I have had a few people tell me to put things in my personal statement to help clarify some odd aspects of my application. Now that I am seeing the personal statement and how it requires you to answer the two questions, would it still make sense to clarify these random things unrelated to the questions? Or is there another place I can clarify that isn't the personal statement?

Answer the two questions fully and directly as only YOU can answer them.

You can discuss additional random items with your BGO during the interview. That's part of what the interview is for. Tell us something your application doesn't.
