I see a pattern in the past 2 weeks of a flurry of new appointments posted here from Thu-Sat. I assume the next 3 days are do or die for those candidates still waiting to be informed of their destiny. Its really difficult to sit here and wait for a process several years in the making of which we have absolutely no control over the outcome at this point. Are these admissions people cognizant of the torture they put us through?
I am aware of all of the caveats: (1) there's always a chance for a last minute appointment (2) it is a great honor to have gotten this far, and (3) try again next year.
All of that is fine and dandy, but at some point Plan B needs to be taken seriously. My son was notified of an AFROTC scholarship last week and there was some interesting language in that packet. It sounds as if they expect him to graduate from the university he signs up for. How does that directive affect the application process for the AFA class of 2014?
