PMS interview?

So in the midst of my interview my pms told me what job I would like if I get this scholarship and commission, I told him ADA (Air Defense Artillery) he said he was extremely suprised by that and that he was loving that job choice. Does this have any impact on my interview?
 
Highly doubtful. You’ll get a scholarship based on merits, not on desired branch. Your branch preference will likely change — or you’ll at least waffle a bit — as you learn more about different MOS the next few years. Also keep in mind that cadets don’t always get their first choice. Your ranking and the needs of the Army will have a lot to do with it.
 
For a long time ADA had been looked down upon because US air supremacy made ADA seem almost unnecessary.

However the recent shift toward major adversaries such as China and Russia plus the rise of cheap drones as a threat to US infantry units has brought ADA back as a combat branch of significance.

DS is FA ... can confirm ADA is still looked down upon... not sure why.
