I remember reading somewhere that there was a bug within the old portal that under the "My Progress" tab the date received would change upon admissions looking at your application. Just wondering for those accepted if this is still something that has been found to be true due to the fact that my portal has yet to reflect any change close to the previously described.

The dates on my submissions changed a few times, but I was never told it was because that was when admissions looked at your app.

I believe that was more of the educated guess on why they would be changing
Because candidates often submit the components of their application packets separately (ie on different dates), the admissions committee has to group the submissions (the letters of rec, the transcripts, personal statement etc) by candidate and review it altogether. I'm not sure about you, but for most the dates all change to the same one, implying that they are being looked at by the board.

So is it fair for me to believe that since none of my dates have changed that my application has not been looked over

I don't want to generalize and make an assumption on behalf of the board, but that is what I have heard from my counseling person.

But do not take what I am saying as stone cold truth, it is still all speculative as I, too, have yet to receive any correspondence from admissions

I keep hearing about two different portals? How do I know if I have a current portal?

I asked my admissions counselor about this a month back and was told the following, "As for the dates, due to system updates, the dates may change on the progress tab (has no impact on your application)."

Is it just two different wayd to login to the same database showing the same results? Or two different databases that are out of sync? Guess it is less likely to be the latter otherwise the head of IT should be fired immediately 😂

The new portal shows your application status and if you have gotten your response on if you are in, not, waitlist, loa or naps

However, the "High School Transcript" is not marked as received until it is reviewed by one of our Application Examiners, who check to ensure completed applications are in good order before being viewed by the Admissions Board. This means that "High School Transcript" usually will not be marked as received until after the application is finished.
Just something I pulled from an email from admissions back in January.

Old portal does not? If so, it is a serious problem. Wondering why applicants did not complain?
Not too hard to do the new portal. It's just a transitioning year for IT who had to solve big problems in a short amount of time. I doubt this will be the situation next year but for now, just take an extra second to open up the second (see what I did there) portal
