Portal Down?

Just logged in abd when I pressed "Access Application" it said it was down. Could this mean something good? Fingers crossed.

Yes, the portal is down...and there is now a nice message about the portal being down and saved information still being saved.
While we would like this to be a portend of good news for everyone, it is perhaps merely a sign of server maintenance.

The USAFA overnight processes experienced a problem that has the portal down at the time being. The estimated time for restore is around 0730 (MST). This does not have any implications for any candidate -- it is simply a technical issue regarding an unexpected value in an ACT import file.

Oops! The Admissions Server is currently synchronizing data with USAFA. We must suspend all data input while this process runs to prevent the data from being corrupted. YOU DID NOT LOSE ANY OF YOUR WORK! , etc.......

Hold on......A piece of corrupted data during import brought down their portal and the ability for people to login? Thats some stable data integrity issue huh...........

No the server being down and that message should be two unrelated things. The entire USAFA outside connection was down so cadets couldn't get Internet either
