Is it too late to apply for some of the military prep schools (MMI, ? I've heard of them, but know almost nothing about them. I want to re-apply to Westpoint and want the best shot at doing so. Is there anything I can do at this point in time?
Ditto on LTC Bowen, he was awesome when I called him!You should have time to apply as my DS applied and was accepted at NWP and MMI after his TWE last April. But as MidCakePa stated start, with websites. There are also a number of discussions on this forum about these schools and what they offer and how they differ in approach. Also, as to MMI, their Service Academy Program Director, LTC Bowen, is very helpful. Give him a call as well.
If you want the best chance of really anything enlisting in the Nat Guard is kinda the move. You get access to service-connected nomination (which all you have to do for is get your commander to sign a short eval form) and are able to compete for a number of fixed enlisted slots which have seldom been filled in recent years. Obviously this is only recommended if you’d otherwise be willing to serve your full contract in the Guard. Basic training/OSUT’s really not worth going through just for an increased shot at USMA though so def take this as a scorched-earth method. Is it too late to apply for some of the military prep schools (MMI, ?
