Are Presidential appointments done after all the MOC slates are filled or are they done concurrently?

Some are even done ahead. My son received his appointment, with a Presidential Nomination, at the end of October. That was a full month prior to even the MOC interviews being done.

Any of the nominations/appointments handled by the academy, can be considered and offered as soon as they are available. Meaning, the individual with said nomination also has their application completed and the application is met by the board.

Jerseygiant, if you look at the thread for USAFA Class of 2021 Appointments, the first 3 are Presidential nominations. This is the advantage of a presidential nomination...if the board deems the applicant fully qualified/no brainer and submitted early, one can receive a nomination before the MOCs have completed their slates.

Out of the current 124 appointments, 20 have Presidential nominations (single and with MOC nomination). Let's hope that the other forms of nominations were used instead of Presidential. If so, there may be a few Presidential nominations left. If it's all out, best of luck in the NWL.
