Principal Nom Appointment

I received a principal's nomination to USAFA and still haven't received an appointment. I am 3Q'd, my application is 100% complete, and was wondering if the principal's nomination solidifies myself receiving an appointment? Also, does anyone know when decisions will be given out? I heard around mid March.

You could hear a decision tomorrow or late March. No one knows for certain just keep checking your portal. Your MOC will likely notify you first, though.
 
Relax...hard to do but you are in an excellent position! My son (now a C3C) had two principal nominations and didn't hear from his MOC's until mid-March. By law, you should be guaranteed a spot...

Similar boat but for USMA, I had two principal nominations from my MOC and it took about a month to hear from them and admissions.
 
I was a PN this year and it took 6 weeks from the time I was told and received the nom in my portal (January) until I got the gold appointment letter (February).
 
They take a long time to process everyone’s applications, they most likely won’t notify you of your appointment until your application finishes going through their system.

Remember, they can send you an appointment between October and June.

Have you heard anything back yet? Just curious. My DS has a principal non, his portal still does not even have the check mark by his medical, even though it was sent in December. His DOdmerb says medically qualified. Multiple emails to team silver have said he’s all good. But now with so many appointments going out, we’re getting concerned.
 
My principal mom took two and half months to show up from the time I was told.

Nomination is there…. But medical is still not showing up🤷‍♀️ was just curious if OP who said he had a principal nom had gotten appointment yet.
 
I got principal noms from my MOC in November to USAFA and USMA (and a Slate for USNA). I just got an acceptance from USAFA last week, but nothing from USMA other than I am fully qualified and on the NWL. @delta0000

Congratulations! DS got his principal nom from MOC in January. Still nothing from USAFA. Here’s to hoping… and being patient!

I actually received my appointment this morning!

Mine was the other way around. I also received an appointment to the USMA a few weeks ago, and received my appointment to the USAFA today.

You don't need anything else usafa is far far above West point so come to the best side
