Looking for advice on what priors have done with most of their stuff while at the academy. I'm certain I would end up selling my car, but I have a lot of stuff. Have most of you sold/trashed all you owed besides a few boxes? I think a storage unit in CO would end up being most reasonable, I don't know how thrilled dad would be if I asked them to hold a small room of stuff. A large portion of my items are pro gear, just seems wasteful to get rid of even if I wouldn't have a use for most of it in the next ~3 years.

With the storage unit, would I be reimbursed for psc expenses similar to a normal dity move? Thanks guys, asking for the future

I think you should ask your ALO. They might not know the answer, but they have the resources yo get you the answer. Aim High!

I consolidated to a handful of bags/boxes and stored most of it at a family friend's. You could get a storage unit but I very highly doubt the AF will reimburse that. When you PCS after graduation you are entitled to move goods from USAFA and from your home of record which is one of the few times you get to move different stuff from two locations.

For a very brief period, my sons rented a storage unit until graduation (I have no idea what all they kept in it). Afterward, Son said, "Um, I should have given away or sold most of this stuff." It was almost all sporting equipment.
