I’m applying for a Project Go Scholarship to study abroad for 8 weeks but I was curious about how it works with summer training. I’m a 4/C NROTC midshipman and supposed to go to CORTRAMID for 4 weeks at the end of May, do any of you know how it all fits into one summer?

What did your cadre say? I imagine there could be conflicts as CORTRAMID (as I recall) is 4 weeks. They should be able to tell you how conflicts are resolved, if they are. They may also be able to help to avoid any conflicts. They are your best source of information.

Agree with @kinnem ; talk to your cadre. There are two CORTRAMID sessions, one on the east coast and one on the west coast. With enough notice your cadre may be able to schedule your session so it works with Project Go.

#2 son is looking at a Study Abroad summer program - cadre says definitely, maybe he can go better grades and ROTC performance gives better odds

At my unit we are all being encouraged to apply, and was told by the LT that they’ll work it around cruise / CORTRAMID

I did projectGO this past summer. To be honest it is SUPER intensive. I had a NROTC Roomate. He was the only NAVY guy there. He also had summer obligation. He was able to leave early per request by the school and he still got credits. Everyone else who was there were AF or Army. I went to UMD Persian Intensive year 3 for Farsi! Good luck. The best ones are abroad or San Francisco!
