Qualification Status????

It seems kind of silly to me that they don't just change the CFA requirements to the PRT requirements of the Brigade.
At the very least, ditch the sit-ups (which aren't good for you anyway) for the plank and get rid of the stupid basketball throw.

This works if you are only thinking about USNA and not the other SAs. I think it would be overkill to have at least 3 different PT tests for admission to each SA, not even factoring ROTC. Many years ago all of the SAs came to the consensus to use the current test battery. I agree planks could replace curl-ups.

Yes, that also disappeared for me. I wouldn't worry too much about it. Several weeks ago, my SAT scores disappeared for a couple days then reappeared with a ghost test that I had never even taken. It was fixed after some time and I'm sure this is just another glitch in the new system that USNA is using this year
Thank you!

The CFA is scored on a scale of 0-100 for each of the 6 events, not 0-133 like the gainserviceacademyadmission.com website calculator. That means max is 600 points.

Max scores for M/W:
BB throw: 102/66
Pull Ups: 18/7
SR: 7.8/8.6
Sit Ups: 95/95
Push Ups: 75/50
Mile run: 5:20/6:00

From what I've gathered, anything over 300 would be a "pass", but that doesn't necessarily mean the same thing as "competitive". As is the case with all application components, qualified is definitely a good thing.

CFA was turned in by coach Monday of last week, in the portal appears like “received” but not score next to it. How long does it takes to show the scores. When were you able to see it after turning in the numbers

The basketball throw was still talked about when I was a mid! I remember fitness standards being a discussion item around the Brigade when I was on my way out (my last PRT was the first iteration of the current PRT). The big topics centered around Fleet vs. Academy standards and age-based standards.

The CFA also serves a different purpose than the PRT. The PRT assesses physical readiness of those already at the Academy. The CFA is there to see if a candidate has the baseline fitness potential/ability to be developed to a level requisite of what the PRT and the Navy demands.
