"Qualified" to "Remedial Requested"

My DS' status went from "Qualified" yesterday to "Remedial Requested" today. First, it's a little frustrating as we figured once he was deemed "Qualified", that was that 'til I-Day or something new coming up in the interim. Apparently, you can be deemed "Qualified" and then have that reversed without any changes in your submissions or status.

How does one find out what the Remedial Request is? How can one ensure that it is promptly responded to (I've read more than a couple of stories here of things getting bogged down and lost in the shuffle 'til a candidate shines a light on it).

Mods can we somehow sticky that contact information? It seems to me that newcomers won't be able to find it easily unless it is stickied...I looked and this thread was May 2011, last MullenLE sticky was March 2011.

I believe Luigi stated on another post that it may be as simplistic as a piece of paperwork missing. In other words they didn't go into DQ status, just need more info to complete the Q status.
