Quality of lifestyle Air Force vs Navy vs Army vs Marine Corps

Excellent Post!

Great job PIMA - you nailed it!

I'll just add a little bit - Army & AF have more overseas opportunities if you're interested in that. Navy has overseas bases too, but I echo the previous post implying that more $$ seems to go toward the floating facilities. We almost felt like we were getting a trip home when we went from our Navy base in Italy to all those Army/AF bases in Germany & England - beautiful (then) and well-appointed. I think you usually have to get Embassy Duty to go overseas in the Marine Corps (is that accompanied??).

Hmmm - My wife loved Okinawa and mainland Japan

Every wife loves Okinawa, it's Little America for the military with GREAT SHOPPING!

Typical conversation between spouse and AD member when orders are coming down:

AD Member: We have a choice between Okinawa, Aviano, and Landstuhl
Spouse: Where are they?
AD Member: Japan, Italy and Germany
Spouse: (runs to internet and googles bases). Okay...no problem, Japan I can get great clothes, Italy I can get Butcher Block tables and in-laid woods, Germany I can take a quick trip to Poland and Czech for China and Crystal.

That's how it runs in our minds!:shake:
