I know that the CFA is a pass/fail basis, but I don't have a varsity sport so I may have to get a higher score than just passing to show USMA I have the physical capabilities. I know that playing a varsity sport is a huge part of the application because it shows teamwork, dedication and leadership, but I think being very involved in JROTC and Marching Band can show that sufficiently. With that and passing the CFA put together, I believe that has the same effect of playing a varsity sport.
With that being said, if I demonstrate leadership, teamwork, and dedication through JROTC and Marching Band, and show I can handle physical fitness by passing the CFA, will I still be at a significant disadvantage for not having played a varsity sport?
