Welp, TWE received yesterday for Navy, still waiting on Air Force. If Navy doesn't want me I have high doubts Air Force will want me so looks like Plan B is gonna take action. Just curious, theoretically if I don't get an appointment to Air Force, is that it? No more potential offers of like waitlist or Foundation or something? My application status just says "Turned Down" for Navy, so I am assuming they won't take a second look at my application, but I've read that some people have gotten appointments, foundation, prep offers in April even after Denied?

As far as I know for USNA, that is it. I am not sure on USAFA. I believe a few years they issued TWEs and then prep offers were given after, but could be wrong.

For Navy I am pretty sure " turned down" means that's it for this year.
But it seems the door to USAFA hasn't closed for you yet. Good luck kid!

Sorry about denial. Did you receive email, letter or status update on portal?

DS bought the farm. Portal status changed overnight from "Candidate" to "Turned Down". It now states "Turned Down by USNA".

I guess that latest update sounds better????

Email your admission counselor. What areas could you improve?

The admissions process is different and separate for each branch, so getting a TWE from Navy has absolutely no relationship to the outcome of your application at the Air Force. Chin up, fly high and get plan B firmly in place.

"More sadder" isn't grammatically correct by the way so don't let your mind go there!

Didn't realize my English teacher had a service academy forum account....

But anyways, I felt "more sadder" was appropriate for the way for a comedic tone

Epic Burrito, my apologies if you felt like I was poking fun at you. I assuredly was not. I knew your intent when I read your post. And I understand that you are very bright. I was only trying to add some humor to the thread. My DD also received a TWE and I thought mistakenly that some humor was appropriate. As I was. Good luck to you EB! I'm sure your headed towards greatness.
