I'm currently in South Korea right now, and I'm curious if I can get a nomination from a Korean congress here.
Also when do students get admitted to the USAFA when they pass?

Are you a U.S. citizen applying from an out-of-U.S. address? Or are you a Korean citizen who wants to apply as an international cadet?

There is no involvement by Korean legislative officials.

U.S. citizens living abroad apply for nominations from the U.S. voting or tax domicile of their parent(s), if one or both are U.S. citizens. If they are not U.S. citizens, i know you can still apply for the VP nomination. Mine is not an official opinion. Your primary source for an accurate response will always be USAFA Admissions.

International cadets do not follow the same application procedures. They do not require nominations from U.S. sources. They must apply via their home country, and the U.S. Embassy in Korea works with those candidates. The ability for international cadets and midshipmen to attend a U.S. service academy is generally part of a U.S. Department of State and Department of Defense agreement with a foreign country.

I do not understand: “Also when do students get admitted to the USAFA when they pass?” When they pass what? Applicants submit their applications, then wait for an offer of appointment, or acceptance, which can occur between now and mid to late April, and sometimes later. If an applicant accepts the appointment, they report to USAFA for initial training and indoctrination in early summer.

If you haven’t yet read every page, link and drop-down menu item on the USAFA website, I recommend that as a starting point.

I hope this has helped.

Sorry for the misinformation. I am a U.S citizen in Korea right now and I'm wondering if I can get a nomination from a Korean candidate. My parents isn't a citizen, only I am. How can I get a nomination if I can't get it from here, South Korea ? Also can you explain more about the VP nomination? Thank You.

Thank you for clarifying.

As noted in my post:
- Korean elected officials have no part in the nomination process.
- If you don’t have a U.S. citizen parent with a U.S. state of residence for voting purposes, I think the only nom you can apply for is the VP.
- USAFA Admissions is your primary source of accurate information.
- Do the work to research the USAFA website for information on the VP nom. It is not tied to a U.S. state or district.

Can you please attach the link about the VP nomination?
@meenoogee .... you are going to really want to take a bit of initiative in this process and Google things at least. The link is right on the website at USAFA. Takes less than a minute to pull it up. Just my 2 cents but I'd save the excellent support network here for the more difficult questions. Regardless I've attached the link here for you.

Thank you for taking over as Siri, especially with the gentle coaching to do the work.

@Capt MJ 2nd bullet point is quite important. I've worked with several 'overseas' candidates, and each had an U.S.-based address as their 'permanent address.' That might be a relative or maternal / paternal grandparents, for example. As noted above, use official sources for guidance on the details. Best of luck!

The OP has been directed to the USAFA website by three different people on two different posts and, apparently, still hasn't bothered. That speaks volumes.
