What is the difference between "Boarded" and "Boarded/Under Consideration"? Is it better to have one over the other?

I read through several older threads on that yesterday, which didn't really clear it up much. Based upon what I can gather, if it says Under Consideration while the Board is convening, that's good. Some folks then went to just Boarded before they were awarded scholarships. If it stayed "Under Consideration" those folks would be considered, again, at the next board. A limited few top scorers were awarded scholarships from the 1st board, and then more at the next 2 boards. Looks like CC is trying to give as much info as possible within the text box for Status Selection, which should hopefully clear things up after the board is finished convening? But, it's really not too terribly clear from reading the older threads.

If one is not awarded a scholarship by a board, the applicant is automatically considered by the next board, ad infinitum. I would never rely too much on the status if it is board ready. For NROTC many folks remain in that state until the end.... some getting scholarships and some not. I doubt AROTC is necessarily focused on keeping that field up to date once your application is complete. It's a pretty simple process after all.... wait until you have heard something, perhaps until April.
