Question on Dates of Spring Physical Fitness Test

If a person is a freshman in ROTC and trying to earn a scholarship for the remainder of their sophomore, junior, and senior years, when is the physical fitness test performed in the Spring semester? My cursory research shows PFTs are performed once in the fall, and once in the spring. When is the spring PFT conducted?

I'm way out of my element on this one and that's probably an incredibly broad question. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Whenever their battalion schedules it? At the end of the semester typically? Pretty broad question. I bet your student could ask their advisor and get the answer.

So it's not on the same date for every school? As in, ABC University could schedule it in February and XYZ University could schedule it in May?

My DS NROTC unit conducted their PRT on the 2nd day of Orientation (freshman only), the beginning of Sept, beginning of October and then the end of November.

Correct. And many schools have a "preliminary" at one point in the semester with an "official" one at a later date.

Sounds like you asking about AROTC.

If your Cadre is considering you for a scholarship they can set up an APFT anytime and not just wait for a scheduled test. AROTC usually does at least one diagnostic test, sometimes more during a semester. Son's battalion did one at the beginning of the semester, one in the middle and then the recorded test toward the end of the semester.

Best this is to be prepared for any tests, you never know which one they will use to evaluate you for a scholarship.

Broad questions will get a broad range of answers. Be more specific and you may get what you are looking for.
