Just something to think about - I am applying for the class of 2025 and I submitted my PCQ the day it opened up. I got promoted to candidate status on July 1st and my due date was November 1st (the earliest of the rolling deadlines). Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe I got the earliest deadline because of my early submission of my PCQ. In some ways, having the earliest deadline was fantastic. I got everything done and then didn't have to worry about it. I also got medically DQed and my process of trying to get a waiver has really taken a long time, so I appreciate that I started early. However, if I had a later deadline, I probably could have significantly improved on my CFA. If you are someone who is on the cusp of not passing the CFA, perhaps having a later deadline (by submitting your PCQ later) may be beneficial. Again, there were also many benefits to having the November 1st deadline. Just something I wished I would have known.
