Questions, Chatter, Congrats for the 2026 USAFA Appointment Thread

Brand new to this forum. My son looked at the portal on Monday and had an appointment letter! He will accept it today. We're in Virginia. Not sure what other information is needed, but I wanted to let you know ASAP. He's in high school. I've been too nervous to even look at any forums until now. Hang in there, everyone who is still waiting.

Congratulations to your DS. If you go to the USAFA Appointment List Class of 2026, you can add your information to the running list. There are instructions on how to proceed there.

DD just got a call from our Rep. this afternoon with an appointment. We are in TN.

I think this April 18 group will be the last batch that goes out together. After that I think TWEs will follow (if they don't come sooner), then sporadic appointments and FFS/USAFAPS offers until I-Day.

I just received this and it's the best news I've seen in a while. I hope its foreshadowing as this has been something that has been stressing me for a while. I did have some problem with this in the past where the nurse measuring did so with my shirt on and we believe i'm not actually over fat percentage wise.

My DS received his waiver like this today. He’s actually now down to the required weight after losing weight since football season ended. We are keeping our fingers crossed for this to mean good things as well.

I just wish I could read the tea leaves better. I’m guessing this could mean absolutely nothing as well as what we all want it to mean. Anyone with insight on seeing these pop up later in the appointment cycle like we seem to be?

Don't count on it. Two years ago, a note was actually put up on the portal that everyone would hear by 4/21-- Well, we all waited for 4/21-- That morning, many waiting did get TWEs... Except, not everyone did. My DS had no change to his portal-- late that night his portal changed to Appointee. Then there were more appointments added to the list well into May--- The bulk of appointments have been made, yes-- but more appointments are likely coming.

Yes, that's what I meant; I apologize if I was confusing. I meant this was most likely the last big group.
