Hello, I am a current candidate for USNA 2022. I recently received a code of R 250.10 that states "Pending waiver review by USNA" I am unsure of what this means exactly but I am thinking it may mean that I am disqualified until given a waiver. Any feedback is appreciated!

Scary that I remembered something from years ago. It’s the ear wax that snagged my memory. I think I remember this post quoted somewhere a few years ago.

My DH says I have a brain like a lint trap. The oddest things stick.

Seems you were DQed? but a good indication that they've initiated the waiver process. They don't do that just because.

I think your interpretation is correct. It is not clear from the code that a waiver review has been initiated by USNA Admissions. They have been informed you need a waiver, but unless USNA Admissions has informed you they have initiated a waiver review, such a review may not have yet been started. Have you been informed by USNA Admissions such a review has been initiated? You might consider contacting your USNA Admissions POC and respectfully ask if they are going to initiate the waiver process.

USNA Admissions does not necessarily notify candidate that it is initiating waiver process. Some waivers are automatically considered, others require further information. Relax, you are still in the game. Admissions will tell you if you need to do anything.
