RC said Mid/End April...is this maybe from NWL?

My DD asked her RC a few days ago about any news, since he is giving her an 80% shot she will get in. He sent her this:


"No news yet. You will likely hear something in mid to late April. Just hand in there and continue to think positive."

Does anyone think this is, pretty much, the last shot from NWL? She is from FL-09 and a recruited athlete, not blue chip/with only Congressional Nomination like my DD already accepted and I was told by the MOC operations person they only had one slot.... thoughts?
 
It seems like they're more meticulous this year to get the class numbers where they want them, so offers are going out slower and later...best advice is to "hang in there" and avoid speculation.
 
There is really know way to know. They could be waiting for the slate winner to accept or decline, she could be close enough to get pulled off the NWL or she could have her sport pushing for her to be an additional appointee.
You are still in a much better place than many others. Don't give up hope yet, but make sure you are working on Plan B.
 
We heard the same, mid April. We are pressing on with plan B and hoping for the best. Good luck to your DD.

My daughter really doesn't have much sports, only 1 yr. The slate from my MOC was taken by a recruited athlete that was not a blue chip and she told me she only had a Congressional nomination and so does my daughter. She has also accepted, so no more options down that road. They only had 1 slot. I am thinking they are pulling the 150 from the top and then the remainder for class make up from the NWL. My guess anyways. Plan B secured with AROTC scholarship and accepted into her school choice.

Good luck to your DD, as well. Plan B locked down. She received an AROTC scholarship. Fingers crossed for all of them.
