Re-Applying

I was wondering if the Air Force Academy allows a person to re-apply to their Academy multiple times until they reach their 23rd birthday year?

Zeek, yes you are allowed to reapply. I'm currently a reapplicant for USAFA.

Absolutely. Do not give up.

My son graduated HS in spring 2016 and applied for the Class of 2020. Received his TWE in late March of 2016. Started working on his application for the class of 2021 almost immediately, was given a LOA and received two nominations (Congress/AFROTC) in early November and accepted his appointment for the Class of 2021 in mid November 2016.

He is a college freshman right now, taking major STEM classes and AFROTC classes of course.

So from his experience...do not give up.

I did...applied to ALL the SA's out of high school....got thin white envelopes from each one; and I still have those letters, they were a motivation.

The next year, while doing time at a prep school, I reapplied.

And I have appointment certificates/letters from all the SA's EXCEPT USCGA!! I was an "alternate" there! That place is tough!!

Thanks for the reply! Do you have to get separate nominations for each SA? I was planning on applying to several different ones as well.

Yes you do. Make sure you let each nominating source know which of the Academies that you would like to pursue.

Will you end up having to get an interview more then once by each Congressman or Senator for each nomination?

Typically you will not have a unique interview for each SA. However, each Congress member has the discretion to administer the process as they deem appropriate.
