This reminds me of the summer my DS was cadre and a young basic, a wrestler, challenged son to a push-up contest. Pretty nervy, right? But son agreed, and said he would beat that basic, while another basic stood on son's back. 200 pushups later, son (and the young female cadet on his shoulders) were still going strong while young wrestler had thrown up. Wrestler Basic thought my DS, his cadre, would really make fun of him, but turns out, son thought it was great, and wrestler went on to become a pilot flying the same airframe.

We did this in a group PT in the waiting pool for flight school once and I thought my arms were going to fall off.
