For those that have reapplied and were accepted, what did you do to demonstrate your continued interest? Did you talk to anyone at CGA while you were reapplying? Also what did you do outside of that?
 
Went to college, enrolled in ROTC, took a course load similar to what I intended to pursue at the Coast Guard Academy, stayed in good shape/improved my physical fitness, did a little bit of volunteering, and really thought about where I could improve my application - for me, it was by adding an interview (they were much less common then) and being more authentic in my essays. I've written about it before, here and here if you're interested.
