Did they ask a specific question and give a max word count? Dig deep and make it count! Look at this as a bonus opportunity to really differentiate yourself. Follow the instructions to the letter and proofread until you know that not a thing is missed. Solicit help from a teacher, counselor or trusted mentor to proof as well.

Best of luck to you!

It says “short” personal statement. Any guidance on “short”?

What status we should expect to see in portal to know if application is being reviewed? FYI, it is “submitted “ now. Thank you!

What’s the word count for the essay? They just indicated “short”. Is 500 words too much? Please advice? Thanks in advance!

Just my opinion, but I’d keep it under 500 words. That’s the number for the other essays if I recall and I don’t think those are very long. It’s not quite a full page. If you do go a little over 500, be sure you’re keeping it to a single page with a reasonable, easy to read font size like 11 or 12.
Like the other essays, make every word count. No filler.

My DS was deferred to RA. He’s sent the requested email confirming he wants to be reconsidered. He has not received a reply. Has anyone else? Wondering if that’s normal or if he should ask for a confirmation.

My DD sent an email to her Admissions officer and the name on the letter. She received an almost instant reply from her AO and she turned her essay in yesterday and again got a reply within an hour from him letting her know it was received and thanking her.

Could be wrong because there are several great AOs, but I'm getting a distinct LT. Brown vibe. He's the man.
Best of luck to you guys!
