Did they ask a specific question and give a max word count? Dig deep and make it count! Look at this as a bonus opportunity to really differentiate yourself. Follow the instructions to the letter and proofread until you know that not a thing is missed. Solicit help from a teacher, counselor or trusted mentor to proof as well.It appears everyone that was deferred was asked to write the same essay.
It says “short” personal statement. Any guidance on “short”?Did they ask a specific question and give a max word count? Dig deep and make it count! Just my opinion, but I’d keep it under 500 words. That’s the number for the other essays if I recall and I don’t think those are very long. It’s not quite a full page. If you do go a little over 500, be sure you’re keeping it to a single page with a reasonable, easy to read font size like 11 or 12.It says “short” personal statement. Any guidance on “short”?
I personally think 500 is a good number. Keep it to a single page max. No filler…make each word count! What’s the word count for the essay? They just indicated “short”. Is 500 words too much? Please advice? Thanks in advance!

Same here for my DD.I sent an email to the person it has in the form as well as my admissions officer. My admissions officer did respond.
Thank you. He’s followed up with his AO. Hope to get a confirmation soon. Would hate for a missed email to result in him not getting reevaluated!Same here for my DD.
My DD sent an email to her Admissions officer and the name on the letter. She received an almost instant reply from her AO and she turned her essay in yesterday and again got a reply within an hour from him letting her know it was received and thanking her.My DS was deferred to RA. He’s sent the requested email confirming he wants to be reconsidered. He has not received a reply. Has anyone else? Wondering if that’s normal or if he should ask for a confirmation.
Could be wrong because there are several great AOs, but I'm getting a distinct LT. Brown vibe. He's the man.My DD sent an email to her Admissions officer and the name on the letter.
