Good Afternoon all,

Unfortunately, congressman Elijah Cummings passed away a few weeks ago and we remember his great service to our district, state, and country. I didn't want to post this earlier out of respect for his service and commitment, but Elijah Cummings was my congressman and I don't know how the nomination process will work now. I am a re-applicant and received a nomination from him last year. This same situtation happened a while back when Senator McCain died and I was hoping if someone could give me some advice. Will there be no nominations from my district this year or will it be handled by a temporary representative? Thank you in advance for the advice.

Proceed on the path you are on. It is unlikely to change and the new congressman will probably follow the same process, at least this year. If it does change they will inform you.
