Before this degenerates into the Battle of Stirling Bridge, let’s step back and understand that the Scots have much to be proud of and their stirrings for independence are something of a cry for recognition. The nation that produced Braveheart later gave us Adam Smith, David Hume, the King James Bible, universal public education and a Church governance structure that served as a model for the US constitution.
