Does anyone know by chance how long the AROTC acceptance letter takes to arrive in the mail? With timelines getting closer and college deposits due a month from now, its getting pretty close.

From the first board, my DD got her AROTC scholarship BFE in less than a week.

Did you get a winner letter in your portal? It's the one that has the 3-4 schools that are options and then you have to select one to which to apply the scholarship.

I don't believe so, or if I did I'm not sure where to find it.

If I recall correctly, it's in the same tab that you may have uploaded supporting materials for the application. There should be something with a file name that has "Winner" in it. To be honest, this is my recollection from the last time my DD showed her online app back in early Nov. My description may be off a bit.

If it's not there, then you'll be getting a BFE about a week after you were notified as a winner.

The Winner Letter is on the File Upload tab, on my son's portal it's the last document there (after all the ones he uploaded like SAT scores, resume, etc). It's called Winner Letter!

As an FYI, my DS uploaded his acceptance letter to his #1 school where he received a 3 year AD scholarship to. Just managing the documents, staying on top of it and executing on each milestone. Waiting on the envelope for the next steps to be ahead of the curve.

The winner letter is in the uploaded file area and was uploaded to my daughters portal on the 29th. It states “winner letter”.
Her letter stated she has until 4/27/19 to make her decision. We went ahead and printed it off and signed it and uploaded as we leave for spring break vacation in a few days.

Well done...Can’t believe in this day and age there are still applicants that feel the need to fax something, or put something in a mail box. Scan and upload, just like Cadet Command asks.

I found it, greatly appreciate the help!

Lol. Unfortunately (I say this tongue in cheek) a lot of my Federal DoD and Fed/Civ customers still only do business via Fax. Lol.

Uploaded DD winner letter with college selection on Friday night to portal. Still showing pending, I’m sure CC is extremely busy. Anyone uploaded acceptance letter to file and had it approved yet?

Do you have to wait until you receive your official letter in the mail before you can sign up for your DODMERB? With the time frame shorter after the third board my DS is anxious to get his in the works.

I uploaded mine on Sunday and it still stays pending as well. I'm assuming it's just CC being busy.

DS received his BFE today also. He uploaded his acceptance and transfer request Monday and it stills says pending also.

Good evening everyone. I have read the messages on submitting the acceptance but still showing pending. I uploaded mine and it was approved within 2 hours. Just an idea to check on the portal, at first I thought I should upload it in the winner letter file but I noticed on the bottom of the letter that it specifically said to upload it in the field labeled letter of intent and acknowledgment. Not sure if that helps but its possible it isn't being noticed because of that. Good luck to everyone and congrats to the winners. Envelope showed up today!!

Okay, I am going to get invovled here. I keep hearing attacks against fax machines and honestly in business it is still very important to have. Unless you have a decent scanner which i do, what most people do is take a picture of a document or form and then sent it through text. I got to tell you that when you print something like that out, it comes out looking like crap. So yes, scanning and email is great, but faxes still have a place.

My daughter’s winner letter says it was faxed into her portal andcwhen printed out you can see that was a faxed upload. We printed, signed and chose school and uploaded but apparently CC uses a fax system of some sort because it clearly states it was faxed into her portal initially. If we don’t see movement on her file by mid week she plans to email CC a signed copy of her acceptance letter because we head out for spring break for a week.

We uploaded the letter under letter of intent and acknowledgement ... wondering if emailing them might be a good idea with a copy of signed acceptance
