SAME Camp or USNA STEM Camp?

My brother applied to both SAME and USNA STEM camps - if he has to choose, which of these camps would you prefer? Thank you.
 
Choose the one she’s more interested in. Summer STEM is a great opportunity, but like NASS, it’s an outreach and awareness program. If you want to spend a week on the Yard, engage with mids and learn in USNA’s world-class facilities, it’s fantastic. But remember that beyond that — and beyond perhaps affirming or disaffirming ones’s desire to attend USNA — it confers no advantage to winning offer of appointment.

SAME and then NASS the following summer. That's what my DS did. SAME is good training for writing scholarship applications.

Came back from SAME wanting to go straight into the Seabee's from High School. Came back from NASS not wanting to go to USNA. Chose the NROTC route. Awarded a 4yr Scholarship and later medically DQed.
 
My brother does not show interest in the military, my mom just want him to be exposed to STEM, he does not know yet what he wants, he is a high school freshman. He is excited though to go to USNA(STEM accepted) , he has not heard from SAME yet. Medicine also interests him, any recommendation for a great medical summer camp? Thank you.

My brother will be attending the National Youth Leadership Forum camp in NY (St.John's University) this summer. But they have them all over. He also is very interested in Medicine and he was nominated by his medical teacher in high school to attend. Your brother may want to look into this program as well. It is a sleepover camp and runs for 9 days.
