I plan on taking the SAT in Dec. but am curious on when USMA would get the scores and if they would get it in time for the scores to help any. I know I would receive the scores around Dec. 14 and USMA would get them around Dec. 24. I am wondering what happens after they get them and if they will have any influence on my file when the scores are increased.

Can you add them now as part of your 5 free? Would that make them get there sooner?

Whatever West Point’s deadline is for receiving a completed application is the date you should worry about. Until then, you can update your scores. USMA superscores, so if your new scores are better than your prior ones, it’ll be noted. To what degree it affects your WCS depends on how big the improvement is and where you were previously. If you went from 1550 to 1570, it may have less impact than going from 1410 to 1500. Whatever the case, just focus on getting the scores there on time.
