How does the Air Force ROTC not consider Information Technology or Cyberspace security as a technical major yet computer science or mathematics is? These majors take very similar courses yet is I.T. considered less competitive because it is nontechnical? It doesn't seem right

Very similar courses are not the same as the identical courses, thus this is why they do not consider the major as tech. They do look at the courses that are required for the major and decide from there whether it is a tech or non-tech major.
