Scholarship Upgrade

Since there are less applicants this year and there will always be people that will cancel their offer. They can always be upgraded but that is pretty much left to chance.

Seems that three-year scholarships are upgraded each year in the last round, after all candidates have been reviewed. DS got a three-year in the second round, then learned it would be a four-year after the last round. As for “top schools,” I’m not sure about that. DS’s schools on his list are all highly regarded and well known, but I wouldn’t label them “top.”

The reference in the thread OP linked was specifically for AFROTC, and more specifically upgrading Type 7 and 2 awards to Type 1. (And, again, no indication in the thread title, so the thread ends up going in multiple unintended directions, but I digress. . . .). AFROTC did that the last two years for, I believe, the same schools. I have not seen anything here about that this year so far.

list is the same this year- for type 2 and 7- these are upgraded to type 1 at the following schools :)
