Senator's request to sign transcript envelope

My daughter submitted her nom packets last week. Apparently, her HS transcript was not signed on the envelope seal. But according to this particular Sen.'s website, the transcript should be submitted "with a raised seal or in a sealed envelope" and either mailed directly to the office or "submit with your application form." She submitted the transcript in a sealed envelope with her entire packet. Today, the Senator's office called and stated the high school transcript needed to be signed on the outside of the envelope seal (it was signed on the actual transcript, I believe). My dd is in class at college (she is dual enrolled) from 9-5, so I did call the high school so they could get it in the mail today. But the deadline is fast approaching (M0n). I'm wondering if I should encourage DD to call/email the Senator's office as she followed the (wrong) directions on the Senator's website. The SA coordinator for the Sen. said my dd's application would be considered incomplete without that transcript... Thanks for any words of wisdom!

The way I would advise my own, would be to pick up the envelope with the signed signature on the outside, and hand deliver to senators office. I would want to ensure that got there. And in time.

+1. Or if DD can't do it because she is in school, I would arrange to have it picked up and hand-delivered.

Driving the transcript would be an 11 hour round trip drive as the Senator's office is literally across the state...

That's a drop in the bucket compared to the cost of visits to Colorado Springs you may end up planning, next year.
See? I'm a glass is half-full kind of guy!

Our DS just got a call from one of our Senators. They said they had his college transcript but not his high school. His guidance counselor mailed them in the same envelope back in July. Didn't like asking her to resend or to pay for priority mail but it is definitely cheaper than college! Fingers crossed for your DD and our DS!
