Hi all,

I am just about to submit my application. Was wondering if I can still send in additional SAT scores in after my application is submitted?

Thank you for your time and effort!

Yes, definitely. Keep using the USNA's (and other SAs') codes to send scores directly. They'll continue to receive them all the way through 31 Jan 2024. By the way, they will ignore any scores that are lower than your current super score set.

I understand, but would you recommend sending prior tests where you received lower scores to show progress, determination, and growth?

I would lean towards a baseline score and then improved scores. Taking into account they super score across tests and subjects.

I applaud you for continuing to try to improve.

No, I would not send 'past' scores. In fact, typically, both College Board and ACT send your historical scores. But, I would only send 'new' scores as you take them in October, November and December.

Also, I post this with some hesitation. Test scores count. They are a critical metric of a candidate’s ability to succeed at the collegiate level.

That being said, my kid didn’t have stellar scores. He didn’t hit the 1300 mark. But other components of his application were indicators of his ability to succeed at a challenging academic level.

Make them tell you no.

This is one leg of a multi-leg stool.

Don’t forget they also superstore between ACT and SAT, individual sections. Try both!
