hello I have two questions I am looking for answers to -

I have a choice of either keeping my core schedule of AP Calculus and AP Physics C and college creative writing or exchanging it for AP Language and AP government and a science elective. What should I do? ( I cannot mix two options its either A or B ex: no AP calc and Ap lang)

Also, does having a better schedule than your competitors help you gain WCS points for academics? I see that USAFA asks for a Senior Schedule from your counselor.

In case you are wondering how my academics look overall - 1440 (740 math / 700 reading) SAT score and a huge upward trend in grades (freshman year 70’s and 80’s to straight A’s Junior year)

Thanks!!!

To whatever degree USAFA considers senior-year classes, I'd think they'd give more weight to STEM courses than non-STEM courses. USAFA, after all, is a STEM school. And should you be appointed, having taken AP Calculus and AP Physics in high school will only help when you take Calculus and Chemistry at USAFA.

Take the classes you'll enjoy more, get a highee class grade in, and get a better AP score on. A strong basis in STEM is a big plus, but also consider that the academies want a well-rounded student. This isn't to say you should try to overwork yourself, or do the impossible schedule-wise, but the better you are at EVERY subject, the better your chances are.
From my perspective however, I would recommend sticking with AP Calc and AP Phys. And good luck!

It was explained to me that everyone from the AFA graduates with a Bachelors of Science degree, so I’d totally agree with the above posters.
