Well, we're home. It was a great week, it was a great 200 weeks really. I've tried, and I can't be any more proud of my DD. From swab to cadet, 4C to 1C, civilian to ensign, she's hit all the marks. I'd brag up the specifics but she can actually kill me now so I'll just keep quiet. We get her for 30 days and then she's off again.
Thank you to all the many people who have made this journey possible. I credit a lot of you on this site, and I suppose I could name more who have never heard of SAF too, but in the end I mostly want to acknowledge how big a village it takes to get anyone into, though and out of a United States service academy. It gives great opportunities to young people, it strengthens this country and it brings individual citizens together with a common purpose in a time when that's becoming harder and harder to do. Thanks for your time, your care and your cooperation in service of something higher than the usual internet shoutfest. This place has been a blessing to our family.
