hello, I have a unique situation at hand, I am currently a freshman at college and I am reapplying for USMA class of 2025. I took the ACT and got a decent score of 31, but after discussing with my field force representative, he said I should consider retaking for a slightly higher score. However, I realize due to COVID 19, registering for the test is close to impossible. Any type of advice is very much appreciated.

If you can, register. If you can’t, or there are no sites available, you can’t. Trying can only benefit you.

It is a competition so you should always try to improve your score if you can.

If you’re a reapplicant, you should understand that applying to an SA is a competition. How have you improved yourself from last year? Are you satisfied submitting your current ACT score or do you want to improve it? If you wish to improve it (hopefully you do), then figure out a way to make it happen. Study and take practice tests. Find a location and schedule to take the test. You can do it.
I had a mother come into my business this summer, and we made small talk. She told me that she had driven her son 21/2 hours to my city so he could take the ACT. It was the closest location they could get to that offered it. She said many districts were not offering the tests due to the plague. She was so happy they were able to get a retest as his reach school required a higher ACT score than he currently had.
I’m sure you will find a way to retake the ACT if you so choose.

I have a friend who is an SAT test coordinator at a high school in Alabama and she said that there are 2 folks from CA and 1 from MD coming to take the test this Saturday. They keep calling her to make sure it hasn’t been cancelled. All of that to say... folks who want it bad (and have the means) are going to great lengths to make it happen!

It truly is a crazy time...people flying across the country to take a standardized test. Who would have guessed?
