Should I still put in for the VP Nomination?

So I currently have the principal nom for my district to USMA (first choice), congressional nom to USNA, and then no congressional nomination for USAFA, but I qualify for a presidential nom for all three (and I already put it in for AF). Should I still apply for the VP nomination, or is it not worth it?

The SAs encourage you to apply for all noms for which you are eligible. Your competition is.

You are in a good position with your principal nom to USMA, sssuming you are triple qualified (academic, DoDMERB, CFA). If you want your best shot at the others, apply for all noms for which you are eligible. If they decide to offer you an appointment, they would then have more flexibility as to which nomination authority to charge it to.

The screenshot below shows USMA’s advice. USAFA and USNA have similar language.

I meant to add, yes, you are likely right about the VP nom, but why not do the most thorough application you can and demonstrate you heeded the SA’s recommendation?

VP takes very little time to complete. Why wouldn't your give any backups the best opportunity?

Yes get it in. Just another chip in hand if you get it.
